Welcome to Rova Scope on Substack, our new platform for our newsletter. It will let you know of upcoming events, recordings and collaborations, and will feature in-depth articles and writings about current projects and new compositions. Rova has built this site as an adventurous and free-ranging forum for information and community. Our fondest hope is that this platform will grow and evolve into a trusted center of lively, probing, and respectful cultural exchange.
You will start receiving updates right here in your inbox. You can also log into the Substack website to read the full archives and other posts as they are published.
One reason we switched to Substack for our newsletter is that it allows you to support Rova monetarily by signing up for the monthly subscription. We are developing content that will only be available to our subscribers. This will include a series of high-quality recordings of live concerts of the quartet and special projects with other musicians. The recordings will be released as a limited run CD and as digital downloads from our Bandcamp page. They will include writings about the compositions, improvisations, and the concert itself.
We are suggesting $6 a month but any amount will be welcomed.
If you no longer want to receive this newsletter there is an unsubscribe link at the end.
